MEPs Continue Pressure on Moldova After Problems at Gay Pride

A United Kingdom Member of the European Parliament is pressing British Foreign Secretary David Miliband to make representations to the Moldovan government over the troubles experienced at the recent Chisinau Gay Pride. In a letter to Miliband, Dr. Caroline Lucas, the Green Party MEP for the South East which includes Brighton, expressed grave disquiet at the treatment of lesbian and gay people and their friends and families who attempted to take part in a Pride Parade in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.
