California Supreme Court Overturns Same-Sex Marriage Ban

In a historic moment for the LGBT community in the United States, the California Supreme Court has ruled in favor of allowing same-sex marriages in the state. The court handed down the decision on Thursday morning to overturn the state’s ban on gay marriage, making California only the second state in the U.S. to grant equal marriage rights to gay and lesbian couples.
