The rumor in top business circles in Oklahoma City is that a financial services business may be about to step away from plans to relocate to the area following OK Rep. Sally Kern’s anti-gay tirade last month.
As reported in an Apr. 16 story published by The Journal Record, the unconfirmed word among businessmen in Oklahoma City is that the head of Staubach Co., a San Francisco-based financial services concern, is a lesbian who sees Rep. Kern’s anti-gay speech, delivered in March to a meeting of conservatives and then leaked to the press, as reason to possibly steer the company’s business away from the area.
