The Young America’s Foundation may have not realised what they were doing when they released their latest study.

The conservative youth organisation, which “is committed to ensuring that increasing numbers of young Americans understand and are inspired by the ideas of individual freedom, a strong national defense, free enterprise, and traditional values,” have released a pamphlet criticising the plethora of courses available to study in American universities.

Named ‘Comedy and Tragedy: college course descriptions can tell us about higher education today’, the brochure seeks to attack ‘the leftist slant of classes’ available to study on American campuses.

But in fact, the report is a pretty informative way for US students to find out what progressive classes they can take across the US.

The glossary, which features the likes of institutions such as University of Michigan, Northwestern University, Rutgers and the University of Wisconsin, provides a compelling catalogue of courses including ‘The Gendered Body,’ ‘Hip Hop Feminism’ and ‘Rednecks, Queers, and Country Music’.

Students can also take Drag in America at the University of Michigan, ‘Special Topics in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies; Sex and the City’ at the University of Maryland and ‘Radical Theories of Political Struggle: Anti-Black Racism and the Obama Administration’ at Williams College.

‘Rather than churning out the next generation of American leaders, so-called “premiere” institutions graduate class after class of adults who are unable to tolerate opposing viewpoints,’ writes the group. Hmm.
