P!nk has spoken about raising her children to choose their own gender.

The Beautiful Trauma star, whose new album went straight to number one in the US, has a history of speaking out about against gender stereotypes.

Earlier this year at the MTV VMAs, the star made an impassioned defence of people who, like her six-year-old daughter Willow, dress in gender non-conforming ways.

And she has now opened up about how she’s raising her daughter and 11-month-old son Jameson without enforcing gender or sexuality on them.

“We are a very label-less household,” she told The Sunday People.

“Last week Willow told me she is going to marry an African woman.

“I was like: ‘Great, can you teach me how to make African food?’

“And she’s like: ‘Sure mama, and we are going to live with you while our house is getting ready.'”

This, it seems, was a bridge too far for the megastar.

“I was like: ‘What the f***, who are you?

“‘Who is paying for this by the way?'”

The singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, has spoken frequently about how fans mistakenly believe she is a lesbian, despite having children with husband Carey Hart.

In October, P!nk addressed her sexuality, calling on people to “leave it alone.

“I just wanna live my life. I don’t need you to put me in a box or to figure me out or to figure out what I am.

“Cos I don’t know yet. And I never say never.”

It appears that – understandably – she doesn’t want her children to have to deal with similar misconceptions.

The 38-year-old musician also spoke about how institutions such as schools were taking steps to make all students feel comfortable about gender, instead of imposing one on them.

“I was in a school and the bathroom outside the kindergarten said: ‘Gender Neutral – anybody’, and it was a drawing of many different shapes,” she recalled.

“I took a picture of it and I wrote: ‘Progress’.

“I thought that was awesome. I love that kids are having this conversation,” the star added.

She also said that more than any gender, she feels like a mother.

“I’m much more mum than I am anything else, said P!nk. “Absolutely 100 per cent.

“They are my everything. It’s the two best decisions I ever made. Every decision I make is a choice because it affects my family,” she added, smiling.

“I’m a f***ing grown up now, it’s so weird.

“I’m still a 12-year-old boy.”

The star also revealed that her daughter had come up with a hilarious nickname for President Donald Trump.

Trump’s administration has endeavoured to strip LGBT people of protections since taking office.

This has included revoking President Barack Obama’s guidance that transgender students be allowed to use whatever facilities they choose in public schools.

And it turns out that Willow is just as furious with Trump as the rest of us – even going so far as to call him Donald Duck Trumpet.

“I don’t correct her,” said P!nk. “And I should, because it’s disrespectful, but it’s like – ‘f*** it’.

“It’s unbelievable,” she continued.

“It’s not funny at all. It’s un-f***ing-believable. I want to skip ahead to the part that it’s over and we start the clean-up process.”
