A new survey has revealed the best place for LGBT parents to live.

Out of 2000 people were surveyed, a staggering 75% said that London is the best place for LGBT parents to raise a family.

The survey, conducted by Lifecake, ranked the capital city as the most queer-friendly environment.

Perhaps surprisingly, Brighton was ranked in second place.

Manchester and Oxford were place second and third, followed by the Yorkshire city of Bradford.

Belfast came last place in the poll.

“The family dynamic in the UK has undergone a dramatic change within a relatively short space of time, with a shift away from the traditional nuclear family”, Lifecake co-founder Ed Botterill said of the research to Gay Times.

“Our study shows how social attitudes have evolved to reflect new these new family types,” added Botterill.

The survey also revealed that there were 450 adoptions by LGBT parents in 2015/6, in comparison to just 80 in 2007/8.

As well as looking into LGBT families, the survey monitored changing attitudes to the modern family.

Roughly 70% of men and 65% of women are in agreement that men are taking a more active role in parenting than a decade ago, and 42% of the young people surveyed said that they are in favour of gender-neutral parenting.

According to the statistics, there has been a sharp rise in stay-at-home dads.111,000 in 1993 to 232,000 in 2017.

There were 111,000 in 1993, in comparison to 232,000 today.

This means that in 2016 same-sex parents accounted for 9.8% of all adoptions in the UK, with almost 9 times as many adoptions in England than in Scotland and Wales combined.
