Vatican police discover ‘drug-fueled gay orgy’ in apartment of cardinal who advises Pope Francis

The Pope has been left furious after a gay orgy was discovered in a cardinal’s apartment, it has been claimed.

Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano reports that Vatican police raided the apartment of a senior aid to Pope Francis.

Police allegedly busted the orgy in an apartment that belongs to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith — a department whose duties include dealing with clerical sexual abuse.

The occupant of the apartment is secretary to cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, one of Pope Francis’ closest advisers in the Vatican.

Police were alerted to the situation when neighbours began to complain of loud noises coming from the official apartment.

When police arrived at the scene it’s claimed they found they a group of men having sex.

It’s also claimed the men had been doing drugs in the Vatican provided apartment.

The occupant of the home was arrested and taken for questioning.

It’s claimed Coccopalmerio’s secretary had been put forward for promotion to bishop, but the consideration is now being rescinded.

According to reports the cardinal’s secretary has suffered two drug overdoses, leaving him unable to pursue the role.

Pope Francis is said to be so angered by the embarrassing revelations that he has demanded the cardinal retire early.

The Pope is also said to have been angry at two lesbian nuns who tied the knot recently.

Federica, 44, and Isabel, 40, married in northern Italy last month after a law was passed allowing same-sex couples legal recognition.

According to Deputy Secretary of State Archbishop Angelo Becciu, the pope wasn’t too happy for the newlyweds.

He tweeted: “How much sadness on the pope’s face when I read him the news of the two married ‘nuns’!”
