Friends and siblings are afraid for the safety of Martyn Hett, 29, who is still missing following last night’s terrorist attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.

At least 22 people died and 59 were injured after the bombing, which took place at the end of Ariana’s show at the Manchester Arena.

Police have confirmed that the incident is being treated as a terrorist incident and that the single attacker died at the scene.

In the last hour, Greater Manchester Police have announced they’ve arrested a second man, aged 23, in connection with the attack.

Martyn, a digital manager at Rumpus PR, was meant to go on holiday to the US for two months some time following the concert, but was reported missing by his brother Dan early this morning.

“My brother was at the Manchester Arena last night and hasn’t checked in,” he wrote on Twitter.

“If anyone has seen him in any way *please* contact me”.

Stuart Aspinall, 25, went with Martyn, a former winner of Come Dine With Me and a graduate of both the University of Liverpool and University of Arts London, to the concert.

In a Facebook post, he wrote: “The more news that is coming out, the scarier this is getting.

“There was an explosion at the Ariana Grande concert tonight in Manchester and I haven’t seen my friend Martyn since.

“He went to the bar about 20 minutes before the end of the concert and got chatting to some girls.

“As I was leaving, the explosion happened and everyone started running.

“I just want to find out that he’s safe somewhere.”

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, he added: “It was so surreal. It almost didn’t seem real but everyone started running and screaming.”

Hundreds have tweeted their best wishes and their hope that the Manchester resident will be found safe and sound.
