A new survey has revealed that more than half of gay and bisexual men are unhappy with their body.

It also found that a staggering 84% say they feel intense pressure to have a good body.

The survey was undertaken for Attitude magazine‘s Body Issue, who asked 5,000 readers about their body confidence.

Asked how happy they are with their body, 49% reported feeling “Unhappy”, while another 10% said they were “Very unhappy”.

23% of respondents said they felt “Happy” with their body, while 17% reported having “No strong feelings either way”.

It comes after a star of Modern Family spoke of his struggle with body dysmorphia before coming out as gay.

Diving star Tom Daley also admitted to body challenges – saying he words tirelessly to keep his body in peak physical condition.

Daley told the magazine: “I train six hours a day, six days a week.

“It’s not as if it’s something that happens just from going to the gym for 20 minutes or an hour a day.

“My life’s about getting to the point where I’m in the physical shape that I can do all my diving the best that I can.

“So, I do feel bad and I wouldn’t want to make anyone feel that way.

“But I know that if anyone else trained for six hours a day, six days a week, they would get the same result.”

The 22-year-old recently expressed regret after he was exposed as having ‘online sex’ with a man he’d connected with via Instagram.

Daley allegedly told The Sun that partner Dustin Lance Black knew about his online sex sessions before the videos surfaced, and has pledged that it will never happen again.
