Brodman died at the house near Tampa after paramedics were called to the house and found him in the garden.

His death was confirmed by the Hillsborough County sheriffs department.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that detectives were unable to find evidence of any kind of violence or trauma, and the cause of his death is yet to be revealed following an autopsy.

Toxicology tests are being carried out.

Friends of the deceased have posted that they are “heartbroken” about his death as his boyfriend wrote on Facebook that he is collecting funds for Brodman’s funeral.

His boyfriend wrote: “I still can’t believe my baby is gone. I can’t sleep I can’t breathe i don’t know how I’m going to go on without him.”

He died just three months after he took shelter on the patio of the Pulse nightclub in Orlando when Omar Mateen opened fire with assault rifles killing 49.

He wrote on social media after the attack that he had been smoking when the attack happened, and that he managed to hide under a table and escape by running across the street.

At first, he wrote, he thought that the gunshots were music, but he saw blood and realised what was happening.

After the attack, he wrote: “I look back and what stands out the most for me is how much support and love has been shown both here in Orlando and around the world.”
