Andy West splits with fiancé who cruised Grindr while he was in the Big Brother House

Big Brother star Andy West has split up with his fiancé after it emerged he used Grindr to try and find casual sex after West entered the show.

The pair got engaged on the show earlier this month live on TV, after West’s then boyfriend Ed Hutton entered the Big Brother House as a surprise during a task.

The Sun published screenshots from Grindr which show the former BBC journalists’s fiancé Ed Hutton approach one man for a “discreet f**k”.

He used the username “Discreet F**k” to chat to men, including someone only named as Nick, 28 from Peckham, London.

The Grindr user said: “Ed was really pushing for a meet and wanted to get horny.

“He must have literally said goodbye to Andy and then hopped on the app – he’s been on it ever since.”

This comes after Hutton and West got engaged in the Big Brother House, in an emotional moment when it was revealed that they had both planned to pop the question.

In the conversation screenshots from 1-8 June, Hutton says he isn’t able to sneak off early, saying his housemates can’t know where he is going.

He sends photos of his anus, and asks when Nick is able to meet up.

On Grindr, Hutton asks: “What time you free until? Having a beer here with house mates and I can’t don’t [sic] anything until they go to bed.”

He adds: “They will know I’m going to f*** about and they can’t know. I’m very innocent ;)”

Nick says he couldn’t believe it when he saw Hutton propose on TV, saying: “When I then saw him go on TV and propose to his boyfriend Andy live on air, I couldn’t believe it was him.

“He has been cheating on his Big Brother boyfriend and sending me messages and trying to hook up!”

He continues: “I haven’t met him, but there are loads of people that would. The app is full of cheaters.”

Tweeting yesterday, West says: “I thought the drama would finish after leaving the house. Hey ho. Everyone’s kindness and encouragement keeps me going! Love you. X”

Initially West said he couldn’t “live without” his fiancé, but later this week he confirmed that their engagement was off.

He was pictured on Thursday without his engagement ring.

West was suspended last year for criticising his employer, after boxing champ Tyson Fury was controversially nominated for the BBC’s Sports ‘Personality’ award last year – despite claiming that homosexuality and paedophilia will bring about the apocalypse.

The boxer has simultaneously stood by his comments and denied being homophobic – while also claiming that sex with children was legalised by a fictional ‘Gay Rights Act 1977‘.

West accused the BBC of “hurting me and other gay people by celebrating someone who considers me no better than a paedophile.”

He left the BBC after the row, saying: “I am ashamed to work for the BBC when it lacks bravery to admit it is making a mistake.”
