Some days are special.

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair, an internet parody comes along and it’s everything you want it to be.

Well, we can’t say much more than that about the divinely-inspired Golden Girls parody that some genius threw together this week.

In place of Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia, the parody features Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump along with his anti-LGBT Vice Presidential hopeful Mike Pence and two of his biggest international proponents: Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-Un.

And it’s gold. Pure gold.

In the real world, Trump has faced serious questions about his links to Vladimir Putin, after allegations the Russian President was actively working to sabotage Hillary Clinton’s campaign and promote Trump.

The digital footprint left by a hack of the Democratic National Convention emails appeared to suggest connections to the Russian state, and incredibly Trump openly invited Putin to hack the Democrats again this week.

He quipped: “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 [Hillary Clinton] emails that are missing. I think you will probably be mightily rewarded by our press.”

The candidate later claimed he was being sarcastic… but another attack has indeed taken place on the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

There were also claims this week that a shadowy pro-Putin internet comment troll army appears to have been redirected to backing Donald Trump.

An investigate journalist noted: “I created this list of Russian trolls when I was researching [Putin’s information techniques]. And I check on it once in a while, still. And a lot of them have turned into conservative accounts, like fake conservatives.

“I don’t know what’s going on, but they’re all tweeting about Donald Trump and stuff.”
