First Lady Michelle Obama has filmed a Carpool Karaoke skit with James Corden.

The FLOTUS made an appearance on Wednesday’s Late Late Show – and took time out for a few songs with the TV host.

Corden travelled to the White House for the segment – with Mrs Obama following in the footsteps of Adele, Ellen DeGeneres and Elton John in the host’s passenger seat.

In a preview clip the pair go full-on Beyoncé, rocking out to Single Ladies.

She recalls: “I rarely get to listen to music in the car.

“I’ve been in a car a few months ago with my daughter who learned to drive… that’s the only time in seven and a half years that I’ve been in a car in the passenger seat listening to music and rocking out like this.”

As well as Single Ladies, the pair are seen rocking out to Missy Elliot’s Get Ur Freak On.

Her musical choices might be going down better than in the Republican Party, where Donald Trump was this week savaged for playing Queen’s ‘We Are The Champions’ at the party’s convention without permission.

The surviving members of the band hit out at Trump for failing to get clearance for the song, having previously warned him not to use their music.

Queen’s Freddie Mercury died of AIDS-related illness in 1991, while Trump’s Vice Presidential pick Mike Pence suggested draining HIV prevention funding for ‘gay cure’ therapy.

Adam Lambert, who has toured the world with the surviving members in tribute to Mercury, fumed: “If your political party spends decades treating gay people as second-class citizens, guess what: you don’t get to use Freddie Mercury’s music at your convention.”

Mrs Obama will face no such issues – Beyoncé is thought to be a friend of the Obamas having performed at his inauguration in 2013.
