A lesbian who was turned away from her high school prom as school officials threatened to call the police because she wore a tuxedo has been offered a guest role on hit TV show ‘It’s Always Sunny’.

Aniya Wolf was last week kicked out of her prom for showing up wearing a tux.

School turns away girl wearing tux for prom – girl lands guest role on ‘It’s Always Sunny’

The lesbian student said she felt more comfortable wearing a tux than wearing a dress, as per the school’s dress code.

The dress code had been changed just before the event, and students were told by email that girls would be required to wear a dress.

Aniya’s mum Carolyn Wolf told ABC27: “I told [the school] that I had read the dress code that was given to the students and I didn’t think that it precluded her from wearing a suit. I said that this was very unfair, particularly at the last minute.”

The student wore her suit anyway, but sadly was turned away before she even got into prom.

She says a school official grabbed her and was threatened with police action if she did not leave.

But now Aniya’s fortune has changed, and really the joke is on the idiots at her school who changed the dress code.

The creator and star of ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, Rob McElhenney, caught wind of the story and tweeted Aniya directly.

He wrote: “Aniya, I love your suit. Would u like to wear it on Sunny?”

When Aniya responded asking whether he was being serious, saying “You are kidding right??”, McElhenney said “I am not”.

He went on: “We’ll be in Philly the last week of June. We need a little extra style and class. Can you help us?”

Of course Aniya said she would be game, responding: “yes!!! I would love to help you!”

This obviously doesn’t fix what the student was made to go through in the first place, but hopefully goes some way to making her feel better.

Who needs prom anyway when you can be a television star.

McElhenney’s character Mac finally came out as gay earlier this year, after years of contending with his feelings.
