Who’s the hottest – Captain America or Iron Man?

Captain America: Civil War sees our favourite Marvel superheroes forced into two camps.

As some rally behind Captain America, others rush to the aid of Iron Man, as the pair go head-to-head.

However, rather than tell us who wins this epic battle, stars of the film recently answered a rather more important question – who is hotter, Chris Evans or Robert Downey Jr, who play the roles?

Sebastian Stan (who plays Bucky Barnes) and Anthony Mackie (who plays The Falcon) were asked which one of the two male actors was the sexiest, with Stan answering immediately.

“Chris. Out of RDJ and Chris? Chris. Chris is doing alright for himself,” he told the Metro.

Mackie, meanwhile, opted for Downey Jr, but only because he’s “rich as f*ck”.

Captain America: Civil War is actually a love story, according to director Joe Russo.

Steve Rodgers and Bucky Barnes are at the heart of what Russo explicitly called a love story – however, he almost certainly means a fraternal one.

“These are two guys who grew up together, and so they have that same emotional connection to each other as brothers would, and even more so because Bucky was all Steve had growing up,” he told Empire.

However, if filmmakers do choose to make the pair gay, they better watch out.

Steve Pauwels – a pastor in Londonderry, New Hampshire – is not very happy about the inclusion of gay and transgender characters in superhero comic books.

His anger led the openly homophobic pastor to call on his fellow anti-LGBT activists to rise up, as he warned the ‘Rainbow Mafia’ to “leave Captain America alone!”
