TV host Carson Kressley says he dated an NFL Superbowl player
‘Queer Eye’ star Carson Kressley has said he dated a footballer who has played in the Superbowl.
The host of ‘Queen Eye For The Straight Guy’ told TMZ Sports that he had dated the player while he was in the Superbowl.
Speaking at LAX, Kressley said: “I went out with a football player who was actually in the Super Bowl, so there.”
He responded to the woman from TMZ who asked: “What do you make of this idea that gay men can’t play football?”
As well as being shocked by the ridiculous question, it transpired that Kressley previously dated NFL defensive tackle Esera Tuaolo.
Tuaolo came out as gay in 2002, soon after retiring.
The player released his autobiography ‘My Life As a Gay Man in the NFL’ in 2006.
The two remain good friends, says Kressley.
