A new colouring book for lesbians breaking up is pretty funny and heartwarming.

The aim of the project, called ‘Chin Up, Dreamboat’, is to use real breakup stories and experiences to “heal, laugh, and love” together.

Breakup 2

The Kickstarter page for the project, created by Nawwal Moustafa, reads: “The ultimate goal driving the creation of Chin Up, Dreamboat! was to create something original  that people can relate to, especially when you need it.

“I was motivated to create this colouring book after realising the comical nature of my own lesbian breakup, and realising that I was certainly not alone. This work is made to chronicle the lesbian breakup, but can be enjoyed by queer people and allies alike. If you’ve ever loved and lost, you will find something to relate to!”

Having reached its initial targets, the page has raised $2,400. With 24 days remaining for funding it aims to reach $5,000 for a second run of printing.

The organisers are also planning to donate 30 copies of the colouring book to LGBT resource centres and gay-straight alliances.

“We love each other, and sometimes we don’t work out. And sometimes it’s funny.”
