This woman could actually go to jail for not doing enough housework
A woman could go to prison for not cooking and cleaning enough for her family.
According to the Local, a husband from Lazio is taking the woman, his wife, to court, for not cooking or cleaning enough for him.
The man is suing her for “mistreatment of the family”.
As she has been charged with the offence, the woman could actually go to jail for up to six years.
The man made a statement with court filings, saying he had been “insulted” by his wife’s “negligence” for two years.
Il Fatto Quotidiano reports that the 40-year-old woman had kicked the man out of their bedroom.
He alleges that he was “forced to live in conditions with poor hygiene”.
In addition, he says food he bought was never cooked and ended up in the bin, also his wife’s fault.
The case will go to trial on 12 October this year.
