Just when you thought Christmas couldn’t be camper – RuPaul’s Drag Race is getting a holiday TV special.

US network LogoTV announced plans today for a Christmas special starring drag icon RuPaul and some returning reality show favourites.

One-off special ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: I’m Dreaming Of A Green Screen Christmas’ will air on Logo on December 13 as part of the ‘Happy Holigays’ season.

The holiday event will feature Mama Ru and a host of special guest stars, bringing to life her Christmas album Slay Belles.

According to NewNowNext, the show will feature duets with special guests Todrick Hall (Deck the Halls), Big Freedia and Ellis Miah (Jingle Dem Bells), Michelle Visage (From Your Heart), Siedah Garrett (Brand New Year), and Markaholic (My Favourite Holiday).

It also reunites 20 queens from past seasons of Drag Race, including Latrice Royale, Raja, Alyssa Edwards, Laganja Estranja, and Shangela for a wild ‘Merry Christmas, Mary’.

RuPaul said: “This holiday TV special and new Christmas album Slay Belles are my gifts to all the truly twisted RuPaul’s Drag Race fans around the world, who continue to inspire me with their love for everything sickening and fabulous.”

Drag Race alum are no strangers to Christmas

One person who will be getting coal for Christmas is controversy-monger Katie Hopkins. Drag Race judge Michelle Visage recently laid into her former friend, claiming the columnist’s extreme comments disqualify her from being a gay icon.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: I’m Dreaming Of A Green Screen Christmas’ will air in the US on Sunday, December 13 at 8pm on Logo. No UK airdate has been announced.
