MP’s ex-wife Karen Danczuk comes out as bisexual
The ex-wife of Labour MP Simon Danczuk has revealed her sexuality – after an ex-girlfriend allegedly threatened to sell her story.
The former Rochdale councillor was forced to come out on social media after learning that a former female flame was trying sell details of their prior relationship.
She tweeted: “I’m sick of people trying to make money off me so let me get it out now. Im bisexual…I admit it. So ex G friend your plan has failed.”
Following her admission, Ms Danczuk received support from her 66,000 followers – retweeting one message that read: “Doesn’t sit right that @KarenDanczuk was forced into coming out… no one should be forced to discuss their sexuality on a public platform.”
However, some have accused the self-dubbed “selfie queen” of publicity hunting, in a bid to increase her chances to gain access to the Celebrity Big Brother House.
After her bisexual confession, Ms Danczuk’s odds of joining the Celebrity Big Brother house shortened dramatically – with Ladbrokes slashing them from 16/1 to 8/1, according to The Daily Star.
The mother of two announced that she was splitting from her politician husband in late June, amid claims that she was having an affair with her personal trainer.
Last year, Mr Danczuk – MP for Rochdale – contacted the police after he witnessed a colleague make a homophobic comment.
Councillor Farooq Ahmed resigned from the party with his wife – after calling fellwo Labour Councillor Neil Emmott a “queer” during a heated exchange.
