Priest tells kids: Gays having anal sex same as ‘cramming a bagel in your ear’
In one of the more unusual arguments against gay sex, a Catholic priest has told a group of children that it is just like sticking a bagel in your ear.
Reverend John Riccardo made the outlandish claim at the Michigan ‘Welcoming and Accompanying Our Brothers and Sisters with Same Sex Attraction’ conference.
The conference aims to promote celibacy among gay Catholics.
Reverend Riccardo said he often tells kids in junior high schools: “What if I just rip open a bagel, I take it, and I cram it in my ear. What would you say?”
Going on, he said kids often respond: “That doesn’t go there”, to which he says doing so “will ruin your ear canal.”
Despite using this completely logical and subtle metaphor, he claims not to be anti-gay.
Also speaking at the conference, the Archbishop of Detroit Allen Vigneron, said: “It’s not being a bigot” to be opposed to same-sex relationships.
Going on, he commended those who help gay and lesbian Catholics “grow in chaste continence … share in the chastity of Jesus Christ.”
