PinkNews.co.uk was first registered 10 years ago today!

It has been ten years since we registered the PinkNews.co.uk domain – look how far we’ve come.

Since launching 10 years ago, PinkNews has been at the heart of the LGBT community reporting on issues that matter. Today it is the most read and trusted news service dedicated to LGBT issues and commentary.

Soon to roll out a new domain, PinkNews is also undergoing a redesign.

Speaking today, PinkNews founder and CEO Benjamin Cohen said: “When I registered PinkNews.co.uk as an experiment ten years ago today, I had no idea what we would achieve in our first decade. Now read by up to 7 million people a month across the world, I feel that we have helped to redefine LGBT+ media, with quality journalism accessible to our community and our millions of straight allies. It is a constant source of pride that so many non-LGBT people now read us everyday.

“Now as we continue our expansion across the world, we are gradually migrating to a new global domain name, Pink.News. But in doing so we will not sacrifice our particular commitment to the UK LGBT+ community, where we were proud to have facilitated the campaign for same-sex marriage in England and Wales and continue to call for equal marriage in Northern Ireland. ”

PinkNews will officially celebrate the tenth birthday of its launch in the Autumn and would like to thank all its readers for their support over the last decade.
