Azealia Banks has hit out that people who branded her homophobic for ranting about “faggots” – because she is bisexual.

The rapper has used gay slurs on a number of occasions, regularly branding gay men “faggots” on social media.

She previously defended using the word, claiming it is not a gay slur and just means “a man who hates women”.

Banks insisted: You can be gay or straight. You can be a straight faggot… Faggots are men who want to bring women down, fuck with their heads, control them.”

On another occasion when she was challenged on her views, she claimed: “even if i am a homophobe… so wat? [sic] i still make more $ than u”.

However, Banks now insists that it is impossible for her to be homophobic, because she is bisexual.

She wrote: “Why do gay men think everything I post about being gay is about them?! GIRLS ARE GAY TOO. I LIKE VAGINAS.

“And breasts and nipples and clits and things of the sort……. men always have to insert themselves in anything I say about homosexuality

“It’s really tiring having explain myself to people I’m not even talking to. Because of course I don’t wanna piss off my fans

“For f**k’s sake, just give the Azealia banks is a homophobe thing a rest because I’m not. I have a transgender sibling. My whole life is gay.

“All of my friends are gay, I am bisexual…. So please… Stop.”

The rapper has also turned her attention to gay rights groups after receiving heavy criticism.

She said: “You’ve got organisations like GLAAD, which are fucking complete bulls**t…

“I mean let’s look at it, it’s gay and lesbian alliance against defamation, or whatever…. that’s what it stands for, right? I mean would you agree that homosexuals, and the homosexual community, have bigger problems than the word faggot, you know what I mean?”
