Kim Kardashian has revealed that her brother did not recognise step-parent Caitlyn Jenner, following her transition to female.

Former Olympic athlete Caitlyn Jenner came out as trans earlier this year, and this month revealed her new name and identity on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

Her incredible new look shocked a lot of people – including members of her own family.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Kim Kardashian revealed that when she sent pictures from the Vanity Fair cover shoot to her out-the-spotlight brother Rob, he was baffled.

She recounted: “All the girls, we all knew that Caitlyn was shooting this, but my brother had no idea. I sent it on a mass text to everyone.”

He asked her: “Kim, why are you sending me this? Who is this woman and why do I care?”

Kim had to reply: “Rob, that’s Bruce! That’s Caitlyn! Do you not [recognise her?]”

When he found out he was actually looking at a picture of his step-parent, he replied: “Oh my God, she’s beautiful.”

Columnist Julie Burchill recently claimed it would have been ‘braver’ for Jenner to come out as gay.

She said: “Transitioning is nothing more than something people do in the pursuit of happiness via extreme selfishness.

“Another oddity is the knee-jerk claims of ‘bravery’ made by their monstrous regiments of cyberfans.

“It would have been far braver, in my opinion, to come out as homosexual in the macho circles in which Maloney and Jenner became wealthy and powerful.”
