Kris Humphries apologises for Jenner tweet
The ex-husband of Kim Kardashian has apologised for being “vague” about Bruce Jenner.
Basketball player Kris Humphries tweeted “Man, I’m glad I got out when I did.” during Jenner’s television interview. Jenner, an Olympic gold medal winner, came out publicly on Friday night.
Mr Humphries was married to Jenner’s stepdaughter Kim Kardashian for just 72 days.
The tweet was shared over 12,000 times and Mr Humphries received countless messages condemning his words.
He has since clarified: “I have and always will support Bruce,” and apologised “for the way this came across”.
I have and always will support Bruce hence #Gottadoyou. Now recognize I was too vague and sincerely apologize for the way this came across.

Many Twitter users remain unconvinced. One said “You don’t support anything you’re only saying this because of the reaction you got” and another: “You are clearly trying to cover up some bigotry.”
