‘I’m not gay no more’ viral star ‘assaulted with frozen yoghurt’ in bizarre incident
A man who shot to fame on the internet after renouncing his homosexuality at a faith healing event claims to have been attacked with frozen yoghurt over the clip.
A clip went viral in November of Andrew Caldwell being ‘delivered’ from homosexuality at a Church of God in Christ (COGIC) event.
In the original clip, which the church later pulled offline due to a copyright dispute, he declared: “I’m not gay no more. I am delivered!
“I don’t like mens no more. I said I like women. Women women women women!”
Mr Caldwell was involved in a surreal incident in a St Louis frozen yoghurt store – when a confrontation led to a tub of frozen yoghurt thrown in his face.
The video star claims he was at a Delmar Loop FroYo shop when he was recognised by the cashier – who he says branded him a “faggot” and threw yoghurt in his face.
A CCTV camera caught part of the incident.
The cashier – 21-year-old Stephanie Diaz – says she had no idea who Mr Caldwell was – and that he had aggressively pestered her for a discount, leading her to lose her temper.
She told STL Today: “I didn’t know who he was… that was the first time that I saw him. He told me: ‘I need a f***ing discount, you b***h’.”
Of Mr Caldwell’s claim that she used homophobic language, she replied: “That is not true, because I’m gay… everybody here that I work with knows I’m gay.”
Ms Diaz is now facing assault charges over the incident.
