The Chairman of the Conservative Party Grant Shapps, has condemned attacks by ISIS on gay men, which include stonings and people being thrown from buildings.

Earlier this week, Islamic State (ISIS) released more photos of executions of a man they said had a “homosexual affair”, showing photos of a man being thrown from a seven-storey building, and then stoned to death when he appeared to survive the fall.

A captured Jordanian pilot was publicly burnt to death by ISIS later this week, with videos circulated on the internet.

In an interview with PinkNews, Mr Shapps said: “It’s just the most disgusting, brutal, barbaric non-state, because they’re not really a state at all, without honour right now, because it’s sad and sickening, its like the burning of that Jordanian pilot yesterday, you know people who are capable of that kind of depravity, who throw gay people off buildings, and much else, because they simply have no respect for the human life, and worse still, purport to be doing it in the name of Islam, which is incredibly distressing for many Muslims in this country and elsewhere, and many of your readers as well.”

The Foreign Office earlier this week released a statement condemning the executions by ISIS of men believed to be gay.
