Stephen Fry has called on the world’s media to republish copies of Charlie Hebdo cartoons following the massacre of 12 people yesterday.

Yesterday, gunmen killed twelve people, after attacking the offices of Charlie Hebdo, a satirical French magazine that famously published a cartoon of a gay Muslim kiss.

Mr Fry tweeted today to say that tweeting images would “show them the pen will still flourish when their guns have rusted.

Earlier today, a London preacher who previously called for gay people to be stoned to death wrote an article defending the murders which took place at the offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Nick Clegg took to LBC to condemn the views of a caller who attempted to justify the killings.

Yesterday, PinkNews published 10 powerful cartoons drawn in response to the shootings, which left 10 members of the Charlie Hebdo editorial team and two policemen dead.
