Did Play-Doh accidentally make a penis-shaped toy?

The makers of Play-Doh are facing a slew of complaints after including a slightly phallic toy in one of its sets.

Hasbro, the company that makes the popular putty-based toy, has been accused of deleting messages from concerned parents on its Facebook page.

An applicator which comes with the Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain play set has been likened to a penis by many parents who took to social media to complain.

The company told KTUL reporters: “We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain play set and are in the process of updating all future Play-Doh products with a different tool.”

Some commended whichever designer managed to get the icing applicator through to the shelves, but many said they were concerned that the toy looked like a sex-toy, or penis.

Meanwhile, according to documents from the National Archives, the late Baroness Thatcher considered banning sex toys when she was Prime Minster, to protect “public decency”.
