Contemporary artist and activist Alexsandro Palombo created the images of the characters – including Aladdin, Hercules and Li Shang.

Similar to past real-life campaigns, the princes are pictured in their boxers holding a condom, to promote safe sex.

Alexsandro Palombo said: “The teenagers have not experienced the years of the emergency.

“For a lot of them the AIDS remains something abstract and so they underestimate the risks of contagions. There is a lack of education in the families also on this matter.

“Life is precious and we have to protect it every day. That’s what we have to teach to the youngsters. And also remind them to always use condoms!”

Earlier this year another artist, José Rodolfo Loaiza, created a world of alternative Disney characters, with many using Grindr and hooking up with eachother.

Needless to say, neither of the art projects are actually approved by Disney.

World AIDS day is tomorrow, December 1.
