WATCH: The gay ‘cat porn’ intended to promote safe sex

Ahead of World AIDS Day on 1 December, a bizarre new way to promote safer sex has been launched in the form of cartoon cat porn.

The video (NSFW), created by Austria’s Aids charity AIDS-Hilfe, features gay cats meeting up in a park and having sex.

During the encounter one cat poses the question of whether or not to wear a condom.

The message following the cat’s rough encounter is: “It’s okay to screw somebody’s brains out”, as long as the sex is safe.

Statistics from Austria suggest that the number of new HIV infections per year has begun to fall.

A new report published by Public Health England last week in advance of National HIV Testing Week showed 6% of gay and bisexual men are now living with HIV, rising to 13% in London (one in eight).
