Taylor Swift has responded to a fan who took to a hookup app to tell people to download her new album.

The fan, Jay, was approached by a man named Frank on Grindr who asked: “Yo ur hot what’s up”.

He decided to promote the pop-country singer’s new album 1989, responding: “Taylor Swift’s sales. #Preorder1989oniTunes”.

The incident went viral on Tumblr – gaining over 25,000 likes – before it came to the attention of Swift herself.

The singer replied: “CANT STOP LAUGHING. I will be applauding you for decades to come for this.”

A poll of Grindr users yesterday found the majority would vote for Hillary Clinton if she runs for President – but users overwhelmingly agree John F Kennedy was the hottest President.

A poll carried out by the hookup app ahead of next month’s midterm elections found that 53 percent of users would vote for Clinton if she runs in 2016.

Deceased President John F Kennedy was voted the hottest, with a massive 64 percent.

Grindr said: “We can’t blame them, JFK was a hottie, but we’ve all looked at that shirtless pic of Barack on the beach… and we were impressed.”
