Man pleads guilty to kissing woman’s naked bum when she was asleep at a party
A man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman by licking and kissing her bare behind when she was “unconscious” at a party.
A friend of the victim went to check on her after she went upstairs at her party to find Steven Whitehead had put her in the recovery position, but that he had pulled down her pants and was kissing her bum.
55-year-old Whitehead pleaded guilty to sexual assault on the basis that nothing other than touching her bottom had taken place at the party, which was at the victim’s house last May, reports the Leicester Mercury.
He was sentenced to four months in jail, suspended for one year with supervision, as well as 120 hours of unpaid work.
Sentencing Judge Nicholas Dean noted that Whitehead had been invited into the victim’s home, that she is a lesbian and has a partner, and that he took advantage of the fact that she drank a lot of alcohol, and had been moved to the bedroom.
The court heard that Whitehead “very much regretted” what he had done.
