The case of a Chinese student allegedly killed by Canadian former porn actor Luka Magnotta has been continuing in court.

Details of Jun Lin’s private life have been relayed to a jury in Montreal.

The 32-year-old’s torso was found in a suitcase at a rubbish dump outside Magnotta’s apartment building in Montreal, almost two and a half years ago.

Former porn actor Magnotta is accused of murdering the victim between 24 and 25 May, 2012.

Yesterday, Magnotta’s lawyer unveiled files from the victim’s computer showing Lin had viewed hardcore gay porn videos and may have engaged in casual sex encounters in the days before he died.

The evidence, which came from Skype chats with other individuals and Lin’s download history, was presented to Feng Lin, the victim’s former lover who travelled from China to testify at the murder trial.

The Canadian Star reports Feng Lin said that although he and the victim occasionally watched pornographic films, they never engaged in more extreme forms of sexual behaviour such as bondage or sado-masochism.

“Absolutely not,” Feng Lin told court through a Chinese interpreter.

The trial heard that Jun Lin had an account on Grindr. He also showed an excerpt from a Skype chat involving Jun Lin and another individual in which he talks about giving himself a coffee enema.

Feng Lin said he was aware his former partner performed such procedures, but insisted it was for the health benefits, not for sexual purposes.

Magnotta is accused of murder, committing an indignity to a body, publishing obscene material, criminally harassing Prime Minister Stephen Harper and other members of Parliament, and mailing obscene and indecent material.

The trial continues.

He faces a life prison sentence if convicted on all charges.
