Police have appealed for help finding a person of interest, after a gay activist was killed in San Francisco.

Bryan Higgins, also known as Feather Lynn, was found badly beaten by a passersby in a San Francisco park on August 10, and died of his injuries when he was taken off life support three days later.

He was one of the organisers of the first Kalamazoo Pride festival in his Michigan hometown, and a supporter of the Kalamazoo Gay and Lesbian Resource Centre.

The video, released by San Francisco Police Department, shows a white man in his 20s or 30s wearing a grey hoodie with a red hoodie underneath.

It is the second time the police have appealed for help in the case, previously appealing for help to discover Higgins’ identity.

Anyone with information about the man should contact the San Francisco Police Department.
