Pastor who preaches that ‘being gay is a choice’ opens church in Kent

  • David_in_Houston

So if she believes that sexual orientation is a choice, we should assume that she’s a self-loathing closet case that *chose* to live a “straight lifestyle” because it makes God happy to see people living a lie. She’s just another religious hate monger in a long line of idiots preaching this ignorant garbage. No wonder the townspeople aren’t interested in what she has to say.

      My Uncle
Riley got an almost new red GMC Canyon just by some parttime working online
with a laptop. visit their website Cashfig.COM

  • Robert Smewing

i suggest she trots off to nigeria where the bible bashing machine came from and do one…people of kent are very tolerent of all. ive been out since i was 15 and 34 now with no such homophobic problems at all…time these imbiciles crawled back under the stone they came from…

    • sJames6621

well tellher to open a BECUM GAY CHURCH or get the f out of town and go to some shithole and jump in.

    • Barry Scarfe

Agree totally. How DARE immigrants come into our country and start preaching their ignorant, unscientific, illogical, and untrue hatred and bigotry. How the HELL can anyone make a free and considered ‘choice’ over their sexuality? If it were a ‘choice’ does this stupid person really believe people would ‘choose’ to be homosexual or bisexual and therefore be a part of a 6% MINORITY if they could, instead, ‘choose’ to be part of an HUGE MAJORITY of 94%?

We really need to get rid of religion before it destroys any more lives and hurts more people.

  • Lily

So when did this crazy nutter choose to be heterosexual??

This great video shows people being challenged and being asked this question

    • Cal

      That’s superb!

    • Rumbelow

You can almost see the penny drop at last when confronted with the choice question individually.
Send a link to the anti-gay pastor who believes people choose to be gay.

  • Mark Y

Sounds like she’d be happier in Nigeria where her church originates from. But she’ll have to watch out for those other religious lunatics, boko haram, over there who won’t be frosty, they’ll just kidnap her and chop her head off. All in the name of god of course.

    • Jesus_Mohammed

Yes, if she had any true gumption she’d be over there in Africa fighting for her Christian brothers and sisters against the Islamic loons, not hanging around in comfy Sevenoaks fighting nice British homosexuals.

      • Rumbelow

The anti-gay industry is probably the laziest career choice for this loser who’s ignorant comments suggest such a low IQ that she probably couldn’t hold down a job stacking shelves in a supermarket..

  • Peter

I always find it funny when people say : being gay is a choice. Because it means that everybody can choose be gay. Tell me, how many people come to a point in their live that they sit down and discuss with themselves and their family or friends ; what do you think i should become : gay or straight?

    • Barry Scarfe

Indeed. I don’t think anyone really sits down on their bed when they are going through puberty ie when they are teenagers or a bit later and thinks to themselves you know I really now need to make a considered decision as to whether to be entirely straight, homosexual or to bat for both teams! Sexuality is something that comes to us we don’t go looking for it!

  • violets 49

HAHA! Boko Haram will be anything BUT frosty! I think they would give her a VERY warm welcome. Strange that she should be over here trying to ‘convert’ people when there are so many moslems in her home country who obviously need converting!

    • Jon (Malaysia)

Yeah, and she should turn a whiter shade of pale! Oh sorry, that’s Procol Harum. Never mind.

  • Aron Sasportas

If Adeyemi believes that homosexuality is a choice, she is logically required to believe that all the other sexual orientations (asexuality, bisexuality, and heterosexuality) are choices as well.

If so, is she willing (of course not) to turn gay for, say, a month, see how she likes it, and, if at the end of a month she doesn’t like it, she can always revert to his previous sexual orientation?

  • DTNorth

Hoi b!tch. TImothy 2;12, Suffer NOT a woman and all that. Ergo, shut yer face.

    • Truth

Religious belief is a mental illness. What else can you expect ….?

    • Rumbelow

Also in Leviticus it states a male with another male may not lay lyings of a woman, in other words they must not sleep together in the bed of a woman who may have polluted it with her menstrual blood.

  • white aquirrel

    pastor preaches to empty church
    says it all really

    • John Bull

No, pastor preaches to empty rented council offices.

Sevenoaks people are too intelligent to be conned by a Nigerian hate group !

  • lee

maybe we should be complaining to the Council then using their offices – the Council is there for ALL would they allow a group that was anti black use the same office -I don’t think so.

Do complain to Seevenoaks Council about the use of their venue

    • John Bull

At the end of July this group also plan to use the Stag Theatre, run by Sevenoaks Town Council.

PN readers might like to ask General Manager Andrew Eyre to explain whether the Council approves of him allowing a Nigerian hate group to rent taxpayer funded premises in Sevenoaks.

      • Truth

VERY. Good point! If Sydney Opera house can refuse to employ an outspoken homophobe, surely Sevenoaks Council should not be facilitating this sort of hate speech? Ah yes! But this is ‘religion’. It enjoys special protections.
        But ….. why, exactly?

  • Keith in SALFORD

Why are these people let into this country in the first place, their intention being to foment division and hatred?

    • Barry Scarfe

Agreed. It’s bad enough that there are plenty of British born and bred ignorant bigots still around but to IMPORT them beggars belief. If I had my way, we would be far tougher on migration and severely restrict (if not totally ban) immigration from these backward places like Nigeria and especially Islamic countries.

  • Lorenza70

“Intelligent people” wouldn’t follow the “Gospel” As “intelligent people”, would know that it is a mixture of old folklore and politics.

  • Lee Hobson

So is she saying everyone has Gay feelings but most people, including her presumably, suppress them? Interesting.Doesn’t sound very healthy and certainly is v dishonest and therefore sinful.

    • Jesus_Mohammed

She’s saying anything that let’s her be in front of an audience and be “the star”.

  • Jesus_Mohammed

This Tinuola Adeyemi loon looks particularly mischievous, if not utterly demented. What some people will believe in, and do, in order to be in the limelight.

Personally, I reckon she’s lesbian but can’t bear the thought of it.

    • Truth

Totally correct. Another brainwashed nut job, struggling with the conflict between religious conditioning and same-sex attraction. “Me thinks the lady doth protest too loudly ….” etc.

  • Halou

I feel bad for LGBT asylum seekers who have come to this country from Nigeria and other African countries.

They spend so much of their time worrying about whether or not the British government is going to send them back there, and when they finally get a guaranteed place to stay they discover that the bigoted churches that chased them from their homes in the first place have only followed them over here.

  • Gerry
  • Gerry

Shame that PN didn’t include the link to what Peter Tatchell had to say !

    Here it is:-

  • Jones

Why the hell would I choose a lifestyle where I get constantly told I’m wrong by people like you and people say I’m going to burn in an internal pit of fire? But don’t think that you can try your magical wand on me, I’m staying as I was born.

  • CHBrighton

So, mrs Pastor, even if sexuality were a choice, what would be wrong with choosing to be gay?

    • Cal

That is a really good point. We all shout that it’s not a choice as if there would be something wrong with it if it were.

      • Jon (Malaysia)

    • Jon (Malaysia)

Brilliantly said. I often wonder why I can’t think this way, :)

    • Truth

It’s wrong because her rule book says so. However, bigots and self-loathing closet cases use that old rule book VERY selectively to support their particular prejudices. The founder of Christianity would be so pleased with them. Not. His (should he ever really have existed) central message was one of love. These awful, ignorant imbeciles should try reading what he actually said. They should also admit that their own suppressed and denied sexuality is what really makes them homophobic.

  • Brian Apple

Sexual behaviour IS a choice. If that is what the pastor refers to when he says that “being gay is a choice”, then he is correct. I don’t see why the gay community should be up in arms about it. All sexual behaviour is a choice. I can choose to be chaste. I can choose to be promiscuous.

Where I take exception with the pastor is this notion that sexual orientation is a choice. By sexual orientation, I mean feelings and thoughts. Such things are not a choice.

    • Cal

What you say is perfectly true but irrelevant unless you don’t believe that sexuality is one of the primary instincts human beings and for most healthy people not acting on their sexual drives is unnatural and impossible.

      • Brian Apple

I agree that, for men, sexual behaviour is all about pleasure. Men seek out pleasure in life. It is unnatural to stop it completely.

However, with pleasure-seeking must come responsibility. Nothing you do in life ever comes without the notion of responsibility.

    • Chaste/promiscuous are the equivalent of not knowing what sex is.
Choosing to do something without the proper information is not choice its Russian roulette.
Sex Education is about taking the gun out of hand and respecting the right to be responsible, informed and self aware.

  • Brian Apple

Oh, I just realised the pastor is a woman. In any case, women are poorly qualified to discuss issues of sexuality. They don’t have the genuine sexuality of men. Women see sex as a means to an end. In other words, they see it as a way to obtain rewards, financial and otherwise. They choose to do that.

If the pastor is referring to how women choose to use sex to make money etc, then she is absolutely correct when she says homosexuality is a choice. Women are known to pretend to be lesbians in order to make money from sleazy straight guys who have a fetish for lesbian acts.

  • Cal

Here she is in all her ignorant, backward, spiteful glory.

    • Rumbelow

She chose to be black of course, I fully believe that so it must be so.

  • Jon (Malaysia)

So let me see if I have this correct. I read frequently that the home office is deporting gays back to the likes of Nigeria, Uganda, Cameroon etc., where they possibly face arrest, torture and even death, yet she is allowed to stay and even open a business which pays no taxes and peddles information that is at best dubious and at worst dangerous. How does this make any sense at all?

  • Huge Move

So Nigerian disease is set to spread in UK.

  • Truth

The only way someone can claim, with any credibility, that being gay is ‘a choice’ is if they themselves have made a choice to deny their true sexuality and NOT to be gay. Otherwise they’re assertion is pure speculation and, as such, not worth listening to. Next time someone says to you that being gay is a choice, ask them how they can possibly KNOW that?

    • Barry Scarfe

Wellsaid. BIG alarm bells always ring in my head when someone is so over the top in expressing their homophobic and biphobic opinions. NO truely straight person is so fanatical about the sexual orientation of others.

  • lee

Surprised she finds time to be a pastor with all her other jobs:

    trustee of Lighthouse trust International:

She is also listed as a Director of Lighthouse trust International for the past 6 years

    occupation listed as chartered accountant:

She is also listed as a sole director of Finesse Consultantcy ltd:

  • ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

This church is not happy-clappy but rather “hateful-hate”.

  • hoofey123

i am a gay man i been out for 9 years i dont believe for one second its a choice i wish people would stop trying to convert us if you have a problem with us i sugest you get lost so what would happen if we as a gay community had our own place of worship that promotes homosexuality what would happen then i wonder

  • Daniel

Innate characteristics like gender, sexuality and race are not a choice. Being a hate-mongering bigot is.

  • Lauchlan Bernard-Christopher M

Another bloody Nigerian scam artist ; but instead of asking for your bank details- oh wait the Trust that she’s involved with Does!- .This con merchant wants you to open your wallets for Jeebus!

  • JD

Another Fool who is preying on the stupid and vulnerable – preaching hatred and fiction because he’s too dumb to evolve!

  • Mikeylano

It’s disgusting that discrimination can continue in this way under the guise of religion.

  • Alexander Kelso Shiels

On and on will it never stop? These people must live on another planet for they certainly are not Human!

  • Ger

Obviously, some people do anything before working honestly. The parasitic caste is nourished by ignorant and fearful people.

  • Yes please take off. Keep going…no, no don’t stop.

  • TiggyTiger

‘nobody turned up to the first of its services on Sunday’

  • Samuel Adams

Being a deluded nutwhack Christurd is ALSO a choice. If “choice” belittles something and makes it meaningless (i.e. choosing to be gay) then so is your ignorant, superstitious beliefs in fairy tails (i.e. you choosing to believe in your horsecrap religion).

See how that works, you hypocritical bastard?

  • Samuel Adams

WAIT – wait, wait!!! The “pastor” is a SHE???

I’m sorry, but Christurds are commanded that their women keep their yaps shut in public and to not deign to instruct their betters, males.

Hey – don’t jump down MY throat – it’s in her own pathetic bible:

    1 Corinthians 14:34 – 35
    …34 The
women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to
speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. 35 If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church.…
