Two men have appeared in court, accused of blackmailing users of the gay hookup app Grindr.

According to the Gloucester Citizen, Nathanael Foster, of Wheatstone Road, Gloucester, and Adam Webb of Kingsway, Quedgeley, both 26, face two counts of blackmail.

The court heard that the pair had posed as younger men on the web app, in order to demand money from other users.

Neither man entered a plea to the charges, and the case was adjourned until August 14.

The pair were released on bail, on the condition that they do not use the hookup app, associate with eachother, or visit Cheltenham.
