Comedian and actor Rosie O’Donnell has made a deal to return to The View, TMZ reports.

The celebrity news source announced Tuesday that O’Donnell will be a co-host on the daytime show she exited in 2007.

O’Donnell’s first stint with The View lasted one year. She was known for bringing controversy to the cast, most notably for clashing with conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

O’Donnell left the show after the network could not come to terms on the length of a new contract.

She joins Whoopi Goldberg on the program, who is the last host standing after several co-hosts left the program for various reasons over the past two months.

Earlier this year O’Donnell revealed that she attempted to come out as gay in a 1992 magazine interview, but that she was blocked from doing so in order to “protect” her.
