Dublin: Three arrested after attack at gay cruising spot

Police are investigating an alleged assault at a cruising spot in Dublin.

The incident occurred last Friday at 3pm in Phoenix Park.

It’s claimed the attackers were posing as gay men.

The Outmost reports the suspects, who were Irish with large, muscular builds, took tools from their pockets and started to beat the victim, who escaped to his nearby car.

The incident continued when the victim’s car was attacked by three men, who proceeded to chase the victim in their silver Audi vehicle through Castleknock.

A witness told The Outmost that there has been a “noticeable increase” in police patrolling the area since the incident.

Police are currently not treating it as a hate crime.

Three men have been arrested.
