A Duck Dynasty star is speaking at an anti-gay conference tomorrow, despite the family claiming to have ‘moved on’ from a homophobia row.

After a homophobic rant last December, reality star Phil Robertson was suspended from the showwith his suspension was lifted less than two weeks later.

Following continued outrage, the family had said in a statement earlier this year that they were “ready to move on” from the incident, and that they had “learned a lot”.

However, according to GoodAsYou, Alan Robertson – the eldest son of Phil Robertson – will speak at the conference of anti-gay group Family Research Council, despite the family’s claims to have moved on.

The group is known for its extremist anti-gay views, claiming that homosexuality has led to the “absolute destruction” of the US military, that being gay is akin to taking illegal drugs, and that the ‘pro-sodomy Gestapo’  caused the financial crisis.

Robertson will speak at the group’s ‘Watchmen on the Wall’ conference tomorrow, delivering a speech titled “Not Ducking Biblical Truth”.

The Governor of Louisiana, Bobby Jindal, also today announced that he would appear on the family’s reality show, despite the homophobia row.

He claimed: “Phil Robertson and his family are great citizens of the state of Louisiana. The politically correct crowd is tolerant of all viewpoints, except those they disagree with.”

Last month, a Duck Dynasty live show planned to take place in Missouri was cancelled, after failing to sell enough tickets.
