Kuwait: Parliamentary panel offers to ‘help gays and cross-dressers end their suffering’

  • Cal

Can you imagine the praying, lecturing, mental and physical torture that these morons will put vulnerable Gay people through? God help anyone who signs up for this.

  • Nualaan

If they truly wanted to help suffering, they’d repeal their ignorant anti-LGBT laws, and keep religion out of the public sphere altogether.

  • jlvnv

Just because they have oil and money doesn’t mean they aren’t savages when it comes to human rights.

OH, NO ! Poor idiots ! Reminds me of Europe- and Norway in 19 50 / 55; Treat them, put them in lunatic asylums: They just haven’t met the right girl etc, ets.Hard experiences in childhood. They are sick and must be changed. Read the Khoran ! FASCISM is WHAT THIS OFFER IS !

    Kuwaiti fvcktards!

  • Beelzeebub

I have never once “suffered” by being gay.

I have however suffered at the hands of religiously brainwashed goons BECAUSE I’m gay.

Ergo. The problem is THEIRS, not mine.

  • Helge Vladimir Tiller

“Helping them” ?—-by using the Iranian solution, the gallows !

  • Ali Cat

If I was unfortunate enough to be living in Kuwait I would not be taking them up on their kind offer. I dread to think what will happen to any poor sod who does.

  • CHBrighton

And this is based on sound medical ethics, is it? No, of course not. And by the way what they are suffering from is not their sexuality, but from the social attitudes and policies of the country in which they find themselves.

  • Gerry

Sounds chillingly like a “Final Solution” to me…

  • Robert W. Pierce

Seems to be that those suffering from religious addiction are the ones who need to be helped. A mental illness if ever there were, believing in invisible entities, claiming their god speaks to them. What more proof does one need?

  • That There Other David

Would they like to attend my clinic where I can help them overcome Islamic brainwashing?

  • Jesus_Mohammed

It seems that the Kuwaiti government’s “solution” to end the suffering of its LGBT citizens is a form of PHYSICAL ELIMINATION!

Ha! Some compassion! But what can one expect from a nation dominated by the Islamic cult!

  • Omar

As a gay Muslim myself the only help I need from Kuwaiti government is to get rid of anti-gay laws.

    • Rumbelow

And you are not allowed to leave the wretched religion behind are you.

      • Omar

I want to deal God with myself meaning. It’s easy to be Muslim and gay the same time. You will live in miserable life plus your pretending to be straight.

The insidious nastiness behind this sort of pseudo-beneficent let-us-help-you bollocks is in some ways more scary than overt homophobia, which most people know to steer as well clear from as possible.

  • Janet Wall

Another country to cross off my bucket list….

  • John De Salvio

Tell them gay people are suffering from hate and bigotry from religious fanatics.

  • newtosf921

It sure would be interesting to see who/what makes up the so called negative phenomena committee…………..What qualifies as a phenomenon? Also, what kind of “specialist” would someone with gayness see for their cure????? lol…….my thoughts are they have a bunch of religious zealots and/or ex-gays on this committee and are “specialists” What is the cure of something that is not a disease?

A few years ago, the US liberated Kuwait from Iraqi occupation. The US needs to to demad that Kuwait repeal all anti-LGBT laws or face economic sanctions.

The U.s shouldn’t need to get involved (although sometimes they have to) in places like Uganda (shivers*).

Countries simply need to come to their senses and corrupt politicians that use this hate to fuel money/power into their positions need to stop. Then again there are groups in the U.S basically holding money over politicians heads so that they have to act a certain way. Since when did religion become controllers of politics.. Oh right when they exercise religious ‘freedom’ whilst denying other people theirs.
