As the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act came into force yesterday allowing gay couples to marry, a lone man in Wakefield has been caught staging his own protest against it.

The snapshot was posted onto the city’s @Wakefield_Yorks Twitter feed earlier today:

The Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act for England and Wales came into force on Saturday 29 March.

A PinkNews reader has identified the man as former UKIP candidate Bryan Barkley.
