Robert Mugabe defends Ugandan anti-gay law by saying: It’s a ‘human right’ for men to marry women

  • Mark Y

If these african leaders, and their citizens, want to be remembered as badly in the future as the white slave owners of yesteryear are remembered now, that’s up to them.

    • Eitherr

we will be remebered as heroes and patriot who fought to protect it values, but if you westerns want to be remembered as slave masters and people who loot AFRICA as well people who support the Anti-Human by allowing same sex fine, we as AFRICAN don’t need the west since we took the so call Independence from the west we’ve had no peace….we just want the world to remember that AFRICA is the birth place of Humanity and everything

      • Mark Y

The birthplace, and now the cesspit of humanity. And independence from the West, don’t make me laugh, the majority of Africa is propped up by Western aid because your leaders are so corrupt that so many of you still live in shanty towns with no food to eat, no schools to teach your children, and no medicine. Tell me, what was the last thing that Africa invented or came up with? I’ll let you know, nothing. You’re even typing on a machine that a gay man invented – did you even know that, the computer was invented by a gay man. If you really hate same sex lovers, stop using the computer you stupid bigoted uneducated excuse for a human being. And by the way, all that war over there is caused by your corrupt leaders who want all the money for themselves, nothing to do with the West. And guess who sold the black slaves to white slave owners, black Africans. Learn some history you retard.

what an empty brain you have, so you actually believe that AFRICA survive off the west Aids…let me ask you these without AFRICA and it resources you think Europe will be were it is right now? for your info i agree that most AFRICAN leaders are greedy but so is the WEST, No such thing as the computer was invented by a gay man, what if i told you that it takes heterosexual to make a human life would doubt that…let me ask you a question if your parents were both male you think you world have been born, Africans did not sell no slaves to no white man but they did slave us and tried to brainwash the blacks in AMERICA that it was the AFRICANS who sold you off when it pour evidence that AFRICA was colonize for 500yrs and murdered and turtured our ancestor..

          • Mark Y

Why did you change your reply from earlier? Was it when you found out that the computer was invented by a gay man – how do you feel typing into your keyboard knowing it wouldn’t exist without a gay man, the computer is a gay invention. Are you going to stop using your computer now you know it was invented by a gay man? As for the rest of your new reply, it’s like a child with no money telling a millionaire he’ll one day be richer than he is. Dream on.

… and no-one is stopping men marrying women. But it’s also a human right for consenting adults to be allowed to love who the hell they want without governments interfering – especially religiously-inspired ones. Obsessively poking your nose into people’s private lives says much more about YOU than it does about the people you attempt to control. Why cannot these imbecilic dictators mind their own business? Why are they so obsessed with same-sex action? To me, it is the weird, obsessive behaviour of homophobic closet cases ….

why don’t you mind your business and respect our cultures for more than a century you told us what to do and even made rules in our own home. we freed ourselves and you poke your pathetic nose in our affairs again . that is why we are looking east. we will never be a colony again and our laws must promote and perpetuate our values. these laws are in the interest of our values and morals. social imperialism will never be tolerated. give pollen to a bee and a beetle the bee will make you honey the beetle will roll that pollen into a dung ball.

      • Christopher in Canada

Yeah you look East. That’s where human rights is the guiding light and personal freedom is written into law. NOT. We’d respect your culture is it WAS your culture, however, you are Nubian in name only. Once you can honestly claim to have revisited your norms and mores of a pre-colonial period (of any nation European or otherwise) then you might have a leg to stand on. Now get out there and protect whatever elephants and rhinos you have left before the Chinese grind them into sex tonics. Then take a refresher course in capitalization and its uses in written English. Or are you actually happier living in a tribal society? Hint: those who answer “yes” tend to be unimaginative and prefer being told what to think – see also under “fascism”.

      • Truth

What? Discrimination based on a genetic trait is an African value …..? Black skin is a genetic trait …. so also is same-sex orientation. When are you people going to realise you have been brainwashed by religion? Can you not see the obscene hypocrisy of persecuting your own people simply for being who they are when your race has suffered unbelievable discrimination for centuries just for having black skin? Two wrongs do not make a right. You should take a closer look at your history before persecuting people …..

    • Homosshoudbechopped

Not in Africa. If you want to marry a man in your country you are free to do that, but in Africa we chop you head off. We don’t want white mans epidemi in our continent. What is coming next? To marry a horse or pig??

      • Loni

you clearly want a big boy to give it to you…otherwise you wouldnt take the time to send these hateful comments. Kiss, kiss..

  • Rehan

When will these fools finally understand that legalising same-sex marriage is not going to affect opposite-sex marriage at all?

Having said that, does anyone – other than those poor Zimbabweans, who have no choice in the matter – give a flying f**k for the ridiculous drivel Mugabe spouts?

    • Truth

Sadly, yes. Other imbecilic dictators … not only in black Africa, Rehan, but in white homophobic countries like Russia. But, what is so appalling is the breathtaking hypocrisy of black nations which happily persecute their own race when they have endured exactly the same type of persecution for centuries ….. simply for being black.

      • Rehan

You persist in being surprised by that but, as I have pointed out more times than I can recall, there’s nothing unpredictable about it. Oppressed people usually seek others to oppress in turn. The concepts of human rights and equality arise from the educated middle classes in prosperous advanced countries. (If you can find a historical example to disprove this, I’d be grateful.)

You could just as easily ask why those Russians in power today, who almost certainly descend from the oppressed classes of the recent past, choose to persecute gay people – and others – as they do. (But you don’t, it seems you only find it odd in black people.)

        • Truth

And as I will continue to point out until I am blue in the face …. and until you and they get the message… it is the breathtaking hypocrisy of black people who have suffered unbelievable persecution simply for having black skin that makes them so hypocritical. You can try to pin the race card on me as often as you like. You are misguided and mistaken and I find your accusation of racism against me deeply offensive. In your persistent attempts at political correctness, you are not seeing straight. I would advise you just to skip past my posts in future.

          • Rehan

I’m afraid I will not, until you finally realise the extent of your deplorable double standards. If you have ever made a similar comment in relation to homophobia from, eg. women please do draw my attention to it, I’ve clearly missed it,

Rather than being offended by your implicit racism, you might do better to examine it.

          • Truth

Sorry – can’t be bothered arguing. You’ve got in your obsessively politically-correct mind that I’m a racist. I’ll just have to live with that …… and with the disgustingly hypocritical stance of black Africans who simply cannot see the irony of persecuting their own people when they have been persecuted for centuries simply for being black. But neither you nor anyone else will stop me, with pathetic accusations of racism, from attempting to point out to them the error of their ways.

          • Rehan

You just did argue. ‘Political correctness’ means, among other things, not accepting racism (or indeed hypocrisy or double standards) regardless of agitated attempts to justify it.

I would also suggest that your “pointing out the error of their ways” by your pseudonymous comments on these forums is somewhat ineffectual.

  • Bikerman

Utterly corrupt and degenerate, Mugabe will be dead soon.

    • Gallant son

i see myself as a future mugabe being educated in the west & here is the dagger into your flesh: why don’t you mind your business and respect our cultures for more than a century you told us what to do and even made rules in our own home. we freed ourselves and you poke your pathetic nose in our affairs again . that is why we are looking east. we will never be a colony again and our laws must promote and perpetuate our values. these laws are in the interest of our values and morals. social imperialism will never be tolerated. give pollen to a bee and a beetle the bee will make you honey the beetle will roll that pollen into a dung ball.

      • Thor

You will never be a Mugabe. Dream on pathetic troll.

  • Halou

For anybody who thought the diminutive mustache went out of fashion in the 1940s, here comes the backward Yorkshireman to prove you wrong.

  • lee

This vile scum bag is still alive -the sooner the good lord takes you the better the world will be.

    • Jesus_Mohammed

Lee, if there were any kind of “good lord”, then Mugabe would have been struck dead long long ago. Unfortunately there is no “good lord” of any kind, and so we have either to wait for this irresponsible and hateful individual to die or for one of his own people to assassinate him.

  • Helge Vladimir Tiller

The absolute supreme idiot is uttering fascism that can compete with Hitler. It is bad to wish that someone should die immediately- but I admit I’m very close to do so right now.

  • Jesus_Mohammed

Mugabe is yet another power-hungry leader hell-bent upon imposing his own likes upon every one else, and ordaining HIS likes as the DUTIES of everyone else. He is the enemy of any kind of breadth of discussion, any kind of diversity. He is the laziest of specimens.

  • Narrow

Why is it when bigots are put up against a corner do they just constantly echo the other sides argument even when it really doesn’t apply to them at all, or they change some of the words to make it apply to them, I swear I see this all the time.

Like how Human rights, and Religious Rights now are constant battle phrases even though religious right should only go as far as believing what you want to believe, you don’t from then on have the right to discriminate, impose on or kill people you believe you have the right to do so because its your right as a religious person, those are infringes on human rights, the rights that outweigh religious rights every time.

Like how Atheists(atleast the decent ones who actually think about it and not just follow somebody who is an atheist) who hold the humility that they just don’t know, but stand behind the likely stance that God doesn’t exist and call out the religious for being the arrogant ones, suddenly its the Atheists who are arrogant because they can’t prove god doesn’t exist therefore they still have ground even though the burden of proof is on the religious people for constantly asserting it, not the atheists.

I see this alot especially amongst the religious, I don’t have anything that big against the people of religions it just depends on what they believe in my view, i’m not going to respect a religious belief that is blatantly intolerant or respect somehow who holds stupid ideas in there head or denies facts(Creationism) however I have alot against all the religions themselves, i’ve often thought that religion is pure evil and humans are the only thing that make it good, when humans take prescendent over the texts suddenly alot of good come out, when the text take prescendent really bad stuff happens.

But I dunno, I just have my views and I may very well be wrong.

  • Eugene

So why did you marry a rabid bitch, Bob?

  • Darijen Zornaen

…this grotesque idiot of a human, believe it or not..should understand it is a ‘HUMAN RIGHT’ for homosexuals to marry also!!! Honestly, why do so many people fear him? Someone ought to take him out!!!!

  • Jones

The sooner that Zimbabwe and the world is rid of Mugabe, the better.

  • H

Not one to harbour anger or hatred, but I really do wish that this POS would hurry up and die!

  • wadeisin1971

Those African nations that are abusing the human rights of gay people should be ashamed and they deserve the loss of financial assistance from other countries because of it.

  • Cal

BONA?? That is too hilarious. What are his other children called? Screech, Palone and Fantabulosa?

  • Homosshuldbechopped

I hope all African leaders would agree to pass the same law as Uganda and Zimbabwe. Homos should be chopped and burned. If you want the few homos that are in Africa, we could send them to you as immigrants and it is your duty to give them asylum. Homos are like a cancer. No white man epidemic is allowed in Africa.

  • chyna

i applaud the african government and i am behind you guys 100 percent!!! the gays dont believe in the most high or else they wouldnt be doing such nasty acts….

  • James Campbell

Whilst I condemn racism and supported a boycott of South Africa’s participation in international support, I also abhor double standards. Apparently “human rights’ are only applicable to the chosen few …..

The International Olympic Committee withdrew its invitation to South Africa to the 1964 Summer Olympics. In 1968, the IOC was prepared to readmit South Africa after assurances that its team would be multi-racial; but a threatened boycott by African nations and others forestalled this.

In 1976, African nations demanded that New Zealand be suspended by the IOC for continued contacts with South Africa, When the IOC refused, the African teams withdrew from the games. This contributed to the Gleneagles Agreement being adopted by the Commonwealth in 1977

And now we are being lectured to by African apologists for African dictators and religious bigots (whose knowledge of African history is almost non-existent) that whilst they can threaten a boycott based on racism, there is a different set of rules for homophobes. No one chooses to be black (or any other colour) and no one chooses their sexuality either.
