GiFi, the inclusive, next-generation social app for gay men has arrived

I find press releases hard to read. Something about the style they’re written causes my reading comprehension to ‘choke’.

Over the course of many years I’ve used all sorts of gay networks. In the end they helped me find a truly compatible partner. But after finding that partner, we’ve completely abandoned all gay social networks – except, perhaps, the rather tenuous “networks” of PinkNews threads. The reason is that we’ve found that having sexuality in common with others is to share one of the least important characteristics of interaction. We’ve found it so much more rewarding to network with people who see eye-to-eye regarding the idiocy of religion, the dangers of climate change, the importance of the NHS, discriminating journalism, fine music and literature, and so on. All of these interests are unrelated to sexuality. Consequently we now network for our kind of PEOPLE – regardless of their sexuality. However, if it weren’t for gay networks my partner and I would never have found each other. What I’m saying is, once you’ve used the networks and find your partner, it’s best to move on to a wider range of networks.

Is anyone else posting a message and then finding it just doesn’t appear in the thread – although at the Disqus site there it is, recorded as having been posted? It’s just happened to me, again! So from the Disqus site here’s my message AGAIN! Sorry if it appears twice.

It doesn’t seem to be available in the US. Any clues as to if and when it will?
