What would Freud say about this hilarious anti-gay marriage Texas Senator’s Twitter typo?

  • Maryland Kid

Freudian Psychology is nearly as antiquated and laughable as the views of these dinosaurs in the Texas legislature. Ask any reputable psychologist, or for that matter, person who understands the scientific method, and they’ll back this up. Most of the principles of Freudian Psychology are based on Case Studies, which are not an empirical form of evidence, and circular reasoning.

Sorry for the rant, but Freud’s work was pretty much psuedoscience, and it really irritates me when people cite it.

PN needs to ‘regcruit’ a spell checker / proof reader.

  • Rumbelow

He got it right both times though didn’t he, that’s marriage equality…even if he can’t seem to make up his own mind.

  • Pet

What would freud say of his ridiculous first statements on homosexuality and women (by the end of his life he changed his views), and the way pitiful Lacan used these statements to back his homophobia and misogyny. Freud and specially Lacan hurt 60% of humanity (women and gay male and female) in the name of science in a way that religion could have never dreamed of.

Please PN, do as everybody who tries to be serious in a scientific field and do not cite Freud or Lacan. Thank GOD these guys belong to a nasty past.

    • Truth

Phew! Lighten up guys! Sounds like you’ve both had a humourectomy.
      It was a JOKE …… !

  • Lawerence Collins

They’re only activist judges when they make rulings these soulless Rethuglicans don’t like! They applaud the ones they’ve bought and paid for! The ones who do exactly as their told by these GOP Koch whores, it’s truly repulsive!

  • Lord Haw Haw

I’m not going to be popular but marriage is a man and woman business.

    • Rumbelow

Except when marriage is man and man business or woman and woman business, as it has been since early 2001 when the Netherlands first introduced marriage equality, since then more countries and jurisdictions have continued to follow their lead.

Your comment may have been true throughout the 20th Century but it is only partially true in the 21st Century.

      • Mike Dalgarno

Don’t forget that same-sex marriage existed many centuries ago too…even in Roman times.

Emperor Nero married a man (or two)

        • Lord Haw Haw

Not quite sure pro SSM enthusiasts should point to Nero to bolster their argument.

          • Mike Dalgarno

Why? Because it shows in the history books that SSM existed…even if the person wasn’t the best in the world?

We’ve had many OSM which could be just the same. I mean even Hitler got married.

          • Lord Haw Haw

SSM has been a setback for LGBT. What was wrong with CP? Was quite happy with everything as it was. Why did the activists have to spoil it.

          • Mike Dalgarno

How have you worked that one out? A setback?

I you don’t know why CP was acceptable anymore, you’ve had you head in the sand…or the Daily Mail.

    • Riondo

Don’t worry. Popularity is overrated and and arbitrary assertions shouldn’t be rated at all.

  • Robert W. Pierce

Odd that the silent majority he speaks of haven’t been able to stop same-sex marriage in 17 states already. Delusional loon.
