Chris Brown sued over alleged homophobic assault
US singer Chris Brown is being sued for allegedly attacking a man and for using a homophobic slur.
The incident occurred outside a hotel in Washington DC in October last year.
It’s claimed the R&B star said, “I’m not into this gay shit, I’m into boxing,” before punching the alleged victim, Parker Adams.
Mr Adams, who suffered a broken nose, said that Brown went “nuts” when the victim and a male friend attempted to get a photo of the singer whilst he was posing for another snap with two women.
TMZ reports Mr Adams is suing Brown for $3 million (£1.8m).
Brown denies the allegations – although he has already been convicted on an assault charge over the incident.
Mr Adams is suing both Brown and Christopher Hollosy – Brown’s bodyguard. Adams wants $1 million (£600,000) from each of them for his injuries, and another $500,000 (£298,980) from each for punitive damages.
