Good riddance to bigotry! Maybe she’ll up in UKIP, they’re welcome to her.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she joined and they welcomed her with open arms. However, if she did join and stood under UKIP colours, she wouldn’t win the seat. Thirsk and Malton, despite being up North, is one of the Tory Party’s safest seats. It’s farming country and farmers normally vote Tory and many of them are pro-EU ones at that

My Tory MP voted against too. I can’t wait for him to come knocking in a years time. I will campaign like crazy with the local press to get him out of office.

So sad, too bad, bye bye. Mwah hahahahahahahahaha!

Incidentally I thought the received wisdom was that those who voted in favour of SSM were the only ones at risk. Hope there are more Anne McIntoshes before the next election.

Be careful what you wish for. Anne McIntosh has not been deselected because of her anti-equal marriage stance. If anything, it looks as though she may have been deselected because she is a woman. In which case her local party may select someone even more extreme to replace her with. The Tory party seems to be ripping apart at the seams with half of them split between whether it’s the 19th century or the 1950s they want to head for, while the other half just hate everyone different from themselves.

in truth, if she had been a supporter of equality and a nice person, they would never have done this. They did it because she’s a horrible person and nobody will stand up for her. if it had been Maria Miller we would have rallied behind her and even stormed the local association

I would imagine she has been deselected because she is very pro-EU and that kind of stance doesn’t go down too well with Tory Party members nowdays.

Has anyone else noticed how most of the anti-gay politicians all have such, em, severe facial expressions? Right vicious-looking b’stards!

It makes one wonder if any of these peanut brains ever did more in school than sharpen pencils. Traditional Marriage as it is defined today, it is based on the Church of England institutional marriage that arose during the reformation. This was instigated by King Henry VIII; a man who beheaded two of his wives and tore the country into religious pieces when he wished to divorce the first one. The so called “Traditional Marriage” that she is so desperately trying to defend is founded upon nothing more than King Henry’s desire to shag a different woman and create a son and heir.

“Civil partnerships ensure there is no discrimination, and in my view, marriage is special and should be respected and celebrated as such.”

So why did the lying hypocrite vote against civil partnerships?

  13. Haydenx 1 Feb, 12:39am

She says that Civil Partnerships ensured that gays weren’t discriminated against but fails to mention that SHE VOTE AGAINST THAT TOO!

I met this woman a few years ago. She invited me to a meeting in the House of Commons to talk about the work I was then doing on Early Years Disability. Strangest meeting I have ever had. We barely touched on the disability work and she spent almost the entire time doing off about Civil Partnerships and how one section of society (the Gays) were being given preferential treatment over another section of society (the Christians and other religions)!! Never did work out why she had invited me to tea in the first place!

oh the punch line was defintely worth waiting for… “Prime Minister, David Cameron, apologised for the policy in 2009.”

…as part of an election campaign in which he also stated “Vote Blue, Get Green” promising to be the most Eco-Friendly government ever. Rolled the lot back a few weeks ago. The Tories have form for plenty gay-sex-scandals but all the while pushing through anti-gay laws.

  19. My local Tory MP also voted against equal marriage. Recently it was reported in our local newspaper that she was getting married herself. I simply stated the fact that she wanted to deny that right to her Lesbian and Gay constituents and got the predictable backlash from some.
I am looking forward to attending a hustings before the next election and asking her the question whether she will continue to vote against equality and human rights if elected again – which she of course will be.

What this means is that the ridiculous gay blood ban now has to be revisited – because it was Anne Milton who was Public Health minister responsible for announcing the decision. She is an evil witch and bigot, and there is no doubt, and I said it loudly at the time, that She was responsible for continuing the discrimination against us. The medical evidence for this continuing discrimination ISN’T there. It discriminates against a couple in a monogamous relationship – that is just plain stupid. It’s a shame we don’t use the original ducking stool test for witches ! At least the end of this disgraced MP could lead to revisiting this matter.

  21. be bye,,,,Good luck finding a job, perhaps JSA for you??
