That won’t please the Edward Leighs and Peter Boneheads in the Tory party. Tough titty. I hope we are inundated with same-sex marriages in the UK.

I think the UK government now realise that the whole CP set up was a moving forward concept – set up mainly to satisfy equality needs while still making the anti LGBT crew and there are many, a way to still feel superior.
One of the reasons they have not set either a procedure or a date for the transfer to marriage they have committed themselves to is that they know that there are potentially 50,000 couples in CPs that will want a marriage certificate and it scares the crap out of them as they start the run up to an election year.
I know some will argue that CPs are what they want but for me and I think many – I don’t want to be different or second best.
Is it really any surprise that people just want to be ‘the same’ – yes we will always be different – but lets now be different and the same. I look forward to saying my husband and not ticking the ‘I am gay’ box on forms.

Congratulations to all those happy couples who committed and married. Be very happy always. NZ showing the world how to do it yet again. Go NZ GO.
