  1. So what have these people learned then?

    Sod all, that is what!

    1. They’ve learned that they can be homophobic and racist and still have a show on A&E.

  2. Locus Solus 2 Jan 2014, 2:42pm

WHO the Flup is watching this trash?! I guess it’s similar to what’s gone wrong with Discovery: “Amish Mafia” That’s a program, somebody ACTUALLY made that and then stuck it on Discovery… ugh.

    1. Google channel drift / Network decay.

In short TV, but especially American TV, will naturally drift from niche highbrow to mass-market lowbrow.

  3. Derek Williams 2 Jan 2014, 3:09pm

Yup, they’ve learned that you can patronise and insult minorities, be racist and homophobic and advocate pedophilia, and A+E will back you to the hilt to loud applause.

  4. They learned that they can be as hateful and as ignorant as the redneck hillbillies they pretend to be behind the phony image that was created to promote their company and get clean away with it. Money matters more to the television networks than anything else. Another example of the newest lows of the pig’s swill level of ‘entertainment’ coming out of the USA.

The few things they probably learnt us that money matters more then respecting others and that they should be more discreet plus that bigotry doesn’t matter when you are on a duck show

Nothing shows they’ve learnt that bigotry is wrong

  6. These channels are funded by advertising. The best way to get our message across is to hit them where it hurts: in the pocket. Boycott the channel, get your family and friends to do the same. And, oh – you disgusting redneck twerp; people do not ‘choose’ to be gay. Sadly, people like you choose to be ignorant bigots.

  7. Richard Ford 2 Jan 2014, 4:40pm

They learned a lot. So if they learned so much, what was it? There is no reference to any lessons learned here. Sounds more like “ignorance is bliss” to me. Reinforced.

  8. The money these Homophobic,Racist and now Pedophile Hillbillys bring in to A&E seems to be the most important thing. So sad.
The fact that this idiot hides behind the bible as well really irks me.

  9. It’s all about the money these Homophobic,Bigoted and now Pedophilish Hillbillys bring in to A&E. So sad. Hiding behind the Bible while doing it really irks me too.

Isn’t it funny that when people say they “learned a lot” they never seem to want to share exactly what it is they learned?

I’m guessing the only thing this family learned was when to keep their fu*king mouths shut about things they are clearly too ignorant to understand. They potentially risked their careers by expressing bigoted views that the majority disagree with, they are outsiders, abnormal, rejected by the vast majority of right-thinking, decent Humans.

I give them a year, during which time there will be a spike in viewers from the right-wing nutters, then they’ll go back to the God channel and A&E will suddenly realize that they threw away their larger and more loyal audience by siding with bigots.

A&E have brought this on themselves by continuing to support this mentally defective bunch.

  11. “We learned a lot” and “we’re ready to move on”? Does that stupid hick think we’re all as dumb as her family? What have they learned? It sounds like they’ve learned to shut up, in which case they’ve learned nothing useful.

  12. Derek Williams 2 Jan 2014, 5:24pm

Why would the Robertsons have ANY “hard feelings against A+E”? They’ve been thoroughly vindicated.

After deep reflection, A+E have rescinded their dismissal, and thus concurred with the mob’s view that homosexuals are analogous to zoophiles, that blacks were better off as slaves, and that pedophile marriages are preferable to legal ones.

  13. …and we learned a lot about A&E.

  14. Robert in S. Kensington 2 Jan 2014, 5:48pm

Females have a lot more to offer sexually? Really? Aside from not being able to give birth, perhaps he should explain what exactly can a man not offer another man? Has he ever had sex with pne? I very much doubt it and why is he fixated on genitalia? Does he believe vaginal sex is the only kind? Can we assume he’s never indulged in fellatio then? Even more enlightened straights engage in other alternatives. Idiots like him think a vagina is the be all and end all. It isn’t. What a moron.

  15. And we learned a lot about A&E

  16. “Phil Robertson advocates for marrying girls when they are 15 or 16 years old.”
…“There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying?” Phil said.

“The son and wife of Phil Robertson”, now isn’t that a queer turn of phrase if taken literally.

    1. “One of you supremely talented graphic artists should start a comic book series starring the Duck dudes as homosexual bears. Talk about crossover potential. The thing writes itself. At the next major gay pride event, there should be hard-bodied men in camo hot pants, ridiculous beards pasted to their chins, blowing through duck calls. Dick Dynasty is a gay porn series just waiting to happen. Just remember: When you see the DD men all decked out in their camo gear, they look pretty bitchin’ and rugged — but keep in mind that they wear these garments to help them hide from ducks. It’s a comedy show, right?” – Henry Rollins, writing for LA Weekly. (Via Towleroad)

I’m still struck by how they assume a woman has “more to offer” than a man… if I wanted to be nothing but a top, I’d be str8. BORING. Of course, this goes with the ignorant idea that men’s pecs and nipples are not erogenous zones. This way I get twice as much – my glass is not half anything!!

Can I help it I was born into a culture where women must wear a top (except in Ontario) but a male body builder can expose all for the world (ok, ME!!) to drool over?

What do they think we do in bed, just play cards?

Loving this REALJOCK site ad that runs beside this posting window….!

  18. Yes. They learned that words existed with as many syllables as ‘homophobia’ and ‘controversy’

  19. And learning to use big, loaded words like “ordeal”, they can play at being persecuted victims.

  20. Thanks for this precious insight into the loving home life of a bunch of moronic bigots.
