  1. Whilst you were distracted by this stupid man, the US Senate sneaked into law indefinite detention without trial.

Jesus said nothing of the kind. Read the book you dumb-ass.

    1. providing the idiot can read

Maybe I’m missing something here, but how does a gay couple living together or married affect the ability of heteros to breed? Why should religious nutters be so concerned about that? I’m surprised they’re not beating up on infertile heteros married or otherwise. Jesus Christ never even mentioned anything about same-sex attraction let alone condemned it in the New Testament. Also, there is no actual marriage ceremony or ritual set out in either the old or new. It’s a man-made invention.

LoL comedy gold. You couldn’t script it better if you were trying. I’m starting to think this guy might even be a poe designed to boost ratings.

“[Sexual disease (and sin) is a problem therefore] if you’re a man, find yourself a woman, marry them and keep your sex right there.”
Uhuh. Or, and I’m just throwing a wild idea out there, you could marry (or remain monogamous) with the man of your choice. Oh wait, silly me, forgetting that gay = promiscuous, unfaithful and diseased.

“Commonsense says we are not going to procreate the human race unless we have a man and a woman”
So the f*(k what? Does this planet really need more people consuming every dimishing resources? Really? I know it doesn’t need yet more uneducated morons who clearly haven’t even read the holy book they claim to espouse.

  5. Because if same sex couples are allowed to get married then opposite sex couples just won’t bother to marry or have children, it’s a totally logical argument and I can totally see why he doesn’t think gay marriage equality can possibly be allowed if that’s the case.(lol)

  6. “In the 1970s, his marriage became strained. Robertson, now running a bar, was falling prey to alcohol, and at times would kick his wife and children out of the house. He began to commit many crimes, and would hide out in the woods for weeks at a time to avoid the authorities.”
The only thing that kept (Phil’s doormat) Kay in the marriage was the bumper sticker slogan, “One man, one wife, for one life”.

  7. Here we go ,”it’s adam and eve, not adam and steve” rhetoric, loosely bible wa8king. I did not bother reading about the creep , it’s so predictable with this breed and the network that support his views, no matter how they try to gloss it over.

    1. Midnighter 23 Dec 2013, 4:50pm

I find “Adam and Steveists” tend to get upset if you express disgust that they condone the incest required to create a third generation.

Rarely you might even get this type to concede there may have been other families around that weren’t written about, and of course THEN you can inject the idea that maybe there were other GAY families living right alongside who also weren’t mentioned.

      1. Another thing they keeping wetting themselves about is procreation, LGBT people can create offspring without having opposite sex relations and many are now doing so, and for those of us who choose not to, these creeps should be admirable and grateful for our unselfish act, not to add to the overpopulation epidemic ravaging the world. The worlds population growth is out of control, so clearly some gay people not having children, has not contributed to even a remote worry of extinction.

  8. James Orpin 23 Dec 2013, 5:02pm

Come on fellow gays go find someone of the opposite sex and make babies. The world is in crisis with its diminishing population.

    Oh wait no it isn’t.

Straights find a same gendered lover and stop making babies. Future generations will thank you.

  9. Not that it matters, but Jesus didn’t say anything about homosexuality. Absolutely nothing.

    1. Why are people down thumbing this comment? It’s true, Jesus didn’t say anything about same sex couples…

    2. Yet it is historically important in ‘Christian’ terms (and ‘Christianity’ is something that would probably have baffled or outraged Jesus in any case). The silence of Jesus on homosexuality is more significant than often thought for the simple reason that he and his people lived under the yoke of foreign conquerors who were sexually free-wheeling pagans and certainly had no beef about guys doing each other. If Jesus were as affronted by this as his bigoted self-styled modern followers claim, he would have been in a state of constant apoplexy at the antics and attitudes of Roman overlords he had to deal with on a daily basis. But no-one cites him even as mentioning it.
The truth is that Christianity didn’t get seriously hostile about homosexuality until the Middle Ages and then started fishing in its past for a dodgy rationale. It’s still doing it.

  10. One thing Jesus DID say (that is if he was real!) Let he that has not sinned cast the first stone. In other words you redneck inbred cretin, shut your mouth and stop being a poster boy for other “good” Christians who haven’t read their book properly

  11. Another ‘lovely’ right-winger !

  12. “Robertson had been asked to describe sin by the magazine, and replied”
“Sin is an imaginary disease to see you an imaginary cure.”

oops, sorry that’s my views on it.

  13. That There Other David 23 Dec 2013, 8:41pm

I hope Pink News is just paraphrasing and Robertson didn’t just say that Adam and Eve left their mothers and fathers to be with each other. That would be rather shockingly ignorant of the thing he is supposed to believe in.

  14. To procreate?
Does he not realize that birth rates are climbing even while equality for LGBT people is increasing?
That’s just one of the glaring irrational statements he made, the rest I’m sure you can all pick out for yourselves and probably have done already.

I am more adamant in my belief now that in order to be a radical preaching religious person you have to have a very low IQ. Ignorance and religion seem to go hand in hand very nicely indeed.

Come to think of it, all of the most intelligent people I know reject bigotry and religion, so I guess that confirms it for me.

  15. Fundamentalist Christianity is on the rise in the USA. You can see it everywhere. Bookstores are extending their Christian literature sections. Very scary.

  16. If everything the bible said were true they have broken 100, 000 things of it on their show alone.

  17. F*CK the DUCKS! turn yer tv off and they will sink…period!
